Garden wedding unites Bailey-Culpus

   Wilma "Billie" Jean Bailey and Davey Lee Culpus, both of Madras, were united in marriage on July 22, at a ceremony officiated by Wilma Ann Lees, aunt of the groom, at Intimate Rock Garden Weddings.
   The bride is the daughter of Larry and Doris McLean of Madras, and the groom is the son of Vince Culpus and Gina Walker of Warm Springs.
   The outdoor rock garden was decorated with multicolored flowers.
   The bride was given away by her father and her son, Devin McLean. She wore a satin wedding gown with cream and purple accents, and carried a bridal bouquet of pastel roses with babysbreath.
   The maid of honor was Tristine Alden, daughter of the bride, who wore a light purple gown and carried a rose bouquet.
   The bridesmaid was Maraya Culpus, sister of the groom, who was dressed to match the maid of honor.
   The best man was Vince Culpus, father of the groom, and the usher was August Scott, best friend of the groom.
   The ring bearer was Lane Bailey, nephew of the bride, the flower girl was Lexi Alden, daughter of the bride, and Shaylee Clapp, cousin of the groom.
   Special music included "Love Songs" by Elton John and "Stick With You," by the Pussycat Dolls.
   A reception was held in the rock garden immediately following the wedding. Sonya Platiro, best friend of the bride, cut and served the wedding cake.
   The couple left for a honeymoon on the Oregon Coast at Seaside and Canyon Beach and returned July 25 to make their home in Madras.
   Both the bride and groom graduated from Madras High School. The groom is employed at Warm Springs Forest Products Industries, and the bride works as a veterinary assistant.
