Saturday Market bazaar moves to Grange
- Madras Pioneer - News
> The 2006 Madras Saturday Market "Christmas Bazaar" has been scheduled for Friday, Dec. 1, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday, Dec.2, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the Mud Springs Grange Hall, Old Culver Highway and Third Street, in downtown Madras.
As with last year's MSM Bazaar, this year's will feature many vendors who have been popular regulars at the Saturday markets, offering fine quality local arts and crafts, gifts and seasonal decorations, toys, foods, baked goods, and candies, toys, clothing, jewelry, and more.
New, first-time vendors are also welcome to participate in the bazaar. Whether newcomers or market "oldtimers," vendors wanting to participate should call 475-2038 or 475-5390 as soon as possible to reserve at spot.
The historic Mud Springs Grange Hall will offer vendors and shoppers quite a bit more space than in 2005, according to Bill Houts of the Market Organizing Group.
"We're happy to offer the community another opportunity to `shop locally' and buy some really fine locally-made Christmas items," Houts said, noting vendor rates are currently being determined, but will not be more than $10 per table per day, with an additional charge for additional tables if needed.
