Courtains celebrate 50th anniversary

   All friends and relatives of Floyd and Lanora Courtain are invited to help them celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at an open house hosted by their children from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 17, at the Madras Free Methodist Church.
   The Courtains were married Dec. 15, 1956 in Goldendale, Wash.
   Lanora graduated from Madras High School in 1956, and Floyd graduated from Estacada High School in 1955. She worked for the 509-J School District as a teaching assistant for 14 years, and Floyd had a 39-year career with PGE. Both retired in 1997.
   The Courtains' children and their spouses are, Debi Keen of Redmond, David and Sandy Courtain of North Bend, Donald and Debbie Courtain of St. Helens, and Bruce and Celeste of Estacada. They have 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchilren.
