MILWAUKIE - Damascus Christian stayed in the hunt for the Valley 10 volleyball title with a three-set sweep over fellow contender Portland Waldorf on Thursday night.

The Eagles turned away their biggest challenge by going extra points before closing out the second set by a 26-24 count. Deadlocked at 15-15, Damascus maintained its edge when Cierra Warren made three straight digs out of the back, highlighted by a diving save with her left arm extended. She finished the long volley with an attack out of the back row that hit the tape and trickled over on the other side.

Teammate Kristen Wood followed with a five-point service run, and Warren hammered another kill from behind the 10-foot line as the Eagles began to pull away at 21-15....
