Public invited to health symposium

The public is invited to a Health and Well Being Symposium at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 28, at the Jefferson County Senior Center at 860 S.W. Madison St., in Madras.

Rep. John Dallum talking about Legislative issues regarding health.
Mountain View Hospital Administrator Jay Henry presenting views on the hospital's place in the community.
Beth Ann Beamer talking about the Mountaint View Hospital District CHIP program.
Dana Hastings of the Jefferson County Anti-Tobacco Campaign presenting what the campaign is all about.
Mandy Puckett of Best Care Services presenting dependency issues and available services.
Cameron Fisher of the Oregon State University Cascade Campus will talk about employer's responsibilities to the care of employee's children in the work place.
Each of the guests will be available following their presentations to talk to people individually and have handouts and information to take home.
