Occupy Portland protesters join Peace and Justice Works Saturday afternoon for a downtown rally and march calling for an end to military action in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The rally begins at 12:30 p.m. at Shemansky Park in the South Park Blocks near Southwest Salmon Street. A march is planned at 1:30 p.m. A forum on the wars and the Arab Spring is planned at 2:30 p.m. at the First Unitarian Church, Southwest 12th Avenue and Main Street.

The event is part of a national day of action in the United National Antiwar campaign. Similar marches and rallies are planned across the country.
