Woman stabs man on MAX train
Late night argument turns violent
Portland police have arrested a woman who stabbed a man on a MAX train early Sunday morning.
Jennifer Poston, 22, was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on one count of Assault in the Second Degree.
The victim, Andy Bloomstrom, 30, was transported to an area hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
According to police, at 12:10 a.m., North Precinct officers responded to a report of a stabbing on a MAX train stopped in the 1000 block of North Interstate Avenue near the Rose Garden Arena. When they arrived, the officers found Bloomstrom lying on the ground suffering from multiple stab wounds.
The officers then learned that he had been stabbed by a woman who was in the train. They entered it and arrested Poston.
Investigating further, the officers learned that Bloomstrom was riding the MAX train with several friends when Poston held the door open, waiting for someone. A verbal argument between the two turned physical, and Poston stabbed Bloomstrom the victim three times - twice in the chest and once in the left forearm.
The investigation is continue.
