Members of the Forest Grove School Board are scheduled to discuss and evaluate their 2010-11 goals at a work session Monday night, Oct. 24.

Members of the Forest Grove School Board are scheduled to discuss and evaluate their 2010-11 goals at a work session Monday night, Oct. 24.

Time of the public meeting is 5:30 p.m. at the district administration office, 1728 Main St.

The top two board goals focused on increasing the percentage of students scoring 'proficient or higher' on the Oregon Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (OAKS) tests in math and reading/writing within two to five years.

The subject of testing has been a controversial one this fall as some parents have lobbied for fewer remedial workshops at Forest Grove High School.

Also on the agenda are a report on staff morale from Superintendent Yvonne Curtis and a budget update from business manager Mike Schofield.
