Pacific University's Theatre and Dance Department will present 'Heathen Valley'
Pacific University's Theatre and Dance Department will present 'Heathen Valley' as its fall theatrical production.
Performance dates are Friday through Sunday, Oct. 21-23, and Friday and Saturday, Oct. 28-29 at the Tom Miles Theatre in Warner Hall. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m., except for a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, Oct. 23.
The cast and production crew will take part in a question-and-answer session with the audience following the Sunday matinee.
Written by the recently deceased Romulus Linney and directed by Pacific staff member Windy Stein, Heathen Valley centers on a well-meaning Episcopal Bishop who attempts to bring religion to an unspoiled Appalachian community in the mid-19th century.
General admission is $7. Students with photo identification and senior citizens age 65 and greater gain entry for $5. Tickets may be purchased by calling the Pacific University box office at 503-352-2918 Monday through Friday from 1 to 5 p.m.
