CHS alumni speak about college opportunities
Culver High School graduates, who are now in college, spoke to students about college life at an assembly Dec. 19.
The idea for a Culver High School Alumni Day assembly was created by coordinator Jamie Lang and high school counselor Kevan Pratt.
Both wanted CHS juniors and seniors to have the opportunity to hear about college from college students themselves.
The panel of alumni spoke about dorms, sports, classes, professors and clubs.
Grads returning included Jenna Krueger, class of 2005, who is studying psychology and music at Willamette University; Fausto Baltazar, class of 2004, studying exercise science, and participating in wrestling at Pacific University; Kelsea Lang, class of 2006, studying nursing and Spanish at Eastern Oregon University; Jeff Cloud, class of 2002, a graduate of Western Oregon University with a degree in physical business and playing football; Katelyn Alley, class of 2005, studying criminology, and mathematics and participating in cross country and track at Southern Oregon University; Adrian Campbell, class of 2006, studying veterinary science at Central Oregon Community College; and Bobby Griffin, class of 2004, studying biomolecular chemical engineering at Georgia Tech.
