Commission looks at dog ordinance once again
- Madras Pioneer - News
> The Jefferson County Commission will review its proposed dog ordinance a final time at its Jan. 2 meeting in the courthouse annex.
At a hearing Dec. 19, commissioners took testimony from numerous residents of Crooked River Ranch asking them to only allow up to four dogs on rural residential land.
The new ordinance will define a hobby kennel as "a premise accessory to a residence" on which five to 10 dogs are kept. A commercial kennel license will remain necessary for over 10 dogs.
