Her style ranges from landscapes to florals and abstracts, and a bold, colorful style is her main focus. She works in acrylics and some mixed media.
In the 1970s, Goodenow studied at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts and displayed at the Three Rivers Festival in that area for several years.
Currently, she is a member of the Plein Air Painters of Oregon, the High Desert Society of the Arts and the Watercolor Society of Oregon.
Her recent studies were in Florida with Gale Bennett, a well-known painter who also has a studio and school in France.
The Redmond Library hours are Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m.
Her artwork is also on display in Madras at Inspirations Art Gallery.
