a food donation, skiers and snowboarders can have a free day at Mt. Bachelor Ski Area on Friday.
   From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m, Friday, anyone bringing three nonperishable food items or a cash contribution can enjoy the day at Mt. Bachelor. The food and cash donations benefit NeighborImpact's Food Bank.
   Last year, more than 25,500 pounds of food was collected at the free ski day.
   Food drop locations are at all Mt. Bachelor ticket windows. Food collection starts at 8 a.m., including at the Bend Park and Ride lot on Colorado Street for anyone riding the bus to Mt. Bachelor.
   The event is sponsored Oregon State National Guard and Deschutes County Juvenile Community Justice.
