Mountain View Hospital has announced the addition of Linda Kidder, as the new health information director.
A former coordinator of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act and health information technology for Deschutes County Health Department in Bend, Kidder brings expertise in the oversight of the hospital medical records functions, and enforcement of national standards to protect the privacy of personal health information.
"I am excited to join the team at Mountain View Hospital. Today we sit at the cusp of implementing an electronic health information system, one that will greatly improve the quality, safety, and efficiency of healthcare for patients within our region through effective use of electronic health records, personal health records, and standards-based information technology tools," noted Kidder.
"Linda's 27 years in the healthcare industry, specifically in managing patient information, will be significant to the success of Mountain View Hospital when coordinating care and information exchange is needed across the region and with other entities," said Jay Henry, CEO at Mountain View Hospital.
Kidder received a bachelor of arts degree in management and organizational leadership from George Fox University of Newberg.
At Portland Community College, she completed an associate in applied science degree in health information technology and is nationally accredited as a registered health information technician.
