> A combined-agency sweep for probation offenders in Jefferson County resulted in 17 arrests, March 21.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office and Madras Police Department assisted the Jefferson County Community Justice's adult and juvenile divisions.
The sweep resulted in 17 arrests, 39 attempted home visits, 24 completed visits, and three bar checks, according to Kurt Symonds, parole and probation supervisor.
The arrests were for various probation violations or outstanding warrants and for three new crimes. Twelve males and five females were arrested.
Their incarceration time ranged from three days to possible prison time. One man was held on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer.
