The members of the Culver Student Council have had a busy year so far.
Officers include president Thomas Griffin, vice president Miguel Baltazar, secretary Amanda Gangstead, treasurer Natasha Schaff, sentinel Whitney McCormick and board representative Ethan Rumbarger.
Officers attend weekly meetings to plan events for the student body, along with various other projects including school improvement ideas.
The student council set up the homecoming dance and related events last fall. `Casino Royale' was the theme for the homecoming dance, which was preceded by an assembly to recognize the members of the homecoming court.
The student council usually does two major charitable events per year, plans assemblies to celebrate all athletic teams, and also sponsors the Student of the Month. This spring, the student council has started planning an annual community clean-up in late May which will include all K-12 classes.
Also taking place in late May will be officer elections for next years' council.
