Winter Festival is coming

Everyone is invited to be in the Dec. 3 Winter Festival parade which starts off Sherwood's winter festival. One should dress in uniform if a Scout, or come dressed like a snowman, reindeer, etc.

Those in costume should be at the Sherwood Post Office area by 3:30 p.m. to get signed in. The parade begins at 4 p.m. and winds to old town by the library. The tree will be lit by the mayor.

Entertainment includes free hot dogs and cocoa, and Santa will be there to listen to each child's wish. Free children's activities will take place in the Mason Hall on Washington Street.

The Old Town Merchants Association will be having activities in Old Town all day long, so come early to join in the celebration.
