Burglar steals skateboards, snowboards from Beaverton store

Beaverton police responded to an audible alarm early Tuesday morning at Sublimity Snow and Board Shop, 12404 S.W. Broadway Street.

Just before 3:20 a.m., officers arrived to find the glass of the front door shattered, which triggered the alarm.

As officers searched the building, it became apparent the business had also been burglarized, said Officer Pam Yazzolino, Beaverton police spokeswoman. Following an inventory by the business owner, investigators learned the burglar stole five long-board skateboards, seven snowboards, 21 pairs of gloves, 14 watches, two wallets and a belt.

All of the stolen items added up to roughly $6,900 worth of merchandise.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to call the Beaverton Police Department at 503-629-0111.
