Gresham's volleyball team locked up a spot in the 6A state bracket Tuesday night with a four-set win over Reynolds.

After seeing the Raiders put up a fight in Game 3 to extend the match, the Gophers were determined to close things out without much drama in the fourth set. Amanda Neffendorf supplied a four-point surge that included a service ace and two kills by Haley Crouser to put Gresham up by a 7-2 count.

Crouser was smashing the ball all night with big swing after big swing. One ball went off a Reynolds defender and sent another nearly crashing headfirst into the front row of the bleachers. Another blast came off a Raiders' arm and deflected high into the ceiling...
