Halloween events wrap-up

Variety of activities planned to celebrate the spooky season

COSMIC BOWLING PARTY - Valley Lanes in Raleigh Hills will host a Halloween Cosmic Bowling Party Saturday from 8 to midnight. Put on your favorite costume and win a new bowling ball. The $12 admission entitles you to an evening of bowling, rental shoes included, food and drink and live music by She's Not Dead. All ages are welcome, so reserve a lane today. TUALATIN HAUNTED HOUSE - The Tualatin Youth Advisory Council invites young and old to experience the thrills and chills of this year's haunted house, to be held this Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Van Raden Community Center, 8535 S.W. Tualatin Road (inside Tualatin Community Park). Admission is $3 for youth/students, and $4 for adults. Proceeds will help YAC members attend the National League of Cities Congress of Cities in Phoenix, Ariz.

JENKINS ESTATE 'SPOOKTACULAR' - The Spooktacular returns to Jenkins Estate, 8005 S.W. Grabhorn Road, Beaverton, Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $7 per child 2 to 10, and adults are free when accompanied by children. The Jenkins Estate stables will be transformed into a 'not so spooky' Halloween adventure for the little ones. Admission includes carnival games, craft projects, face painting, hayride to the pumpkin patch and prizes. Additional hayride tickets for family members 10 and older are available for $1. BRIDGEPORT HALLOWEEN FAMILY EVENT - Bridgeport Village announces the return of rhe annual Street of Treats event on Oct. 30 from 2-5 p.m. It will take place under the giant gazebo. Children and families are invited to participate in the games and activities.

TRICK-OR-TREAT AT ILC - Imagination Learning Center continues its musical series geared toward children at their Bethany Village location. On Monday, Oct. 31, from 3 to 6 p.m., Imagination Learning Centers will offer a free event to trick-or-treaters and their families. Craig Stewart host of 'Between the Notes' will do a series of concerts throughout the afternoon and early evening in an atmosphere that is safe and encourages learning. Children are encouraged to come in costume and sing along to their favorite songs. This event is one of many free events happening at the Bethany Village shopping center, including costume contests, trick-or-treating, live music and more.

EDGEWOOD POINT HALLOWEEN PARTY - 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, at Edgewood Point, 7733 S.W. Scholls Ferry Road, Beaverton. Dress up in your favorite costume and come for treats, spooky refreshments and a special performance from Tim Doyle. Call 503-671-9474.

HALLOWEEN BOOK SALE - The Friends of the Tualatin Public Library will host a fall book sale Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Community Room of the Tualatin Public Library, 18878 S.W. Martinazzi in Tualatin. Hardback fiction books withdrawn from the library will be on sale two for 25 cents, as well as auto repair manuals from the 1970s and '80s and travel books.
