BOYS CROSS COUNTRY - Bruins pour it on at district to easily take second place
The first time Reynolds and Barlow met on the cross country trails, the dual was decided by a series of mad dashes to the finish line with the Bruins coming out ahead by a single point.
A trip to state was on the line when the teams met again Wednesday at the Mount Hood Conference district championships. This time Barlow avoided any late-race drama, beating the green shirts by 30 points and covering the 5K course almost four minutes faster collectively.
The Bruins finished second in the team tally and earned the league's last state berth with a solid performance across the board.
Barlow's Jacob Campbell and Jackson Haselnus finished second and third overall both breaking the 16-minute barrier....
