Coalition calls for transportation safety funding

Saying that there's no better place than under the Sellwood Bridge to give their message, since they claim 81 bridges in the Portland area are 'structurally deficient', a group called 'Transportation for America' picked up support from OSPIRG and Oregon State Building Trades Council at a rally on October 19.
'We're looking for greater security, cleaner environment, and a healthier America for all of us,' proclaimed their Oregon Field Organizer, Chris Rall.
'We're calling for more responsible investment of our federal tax dollars, to create a safer, cleaner, and smarter transportation system that works for everyone.'
