Todd Beamer run quickly approaching
Start training todayThe Todd Beamer Independence Day Run is quickly approaching and now is the time to train for the 10K.
Anticipated runners are recommended to run 15-30 minutes three times per week over the next three weeks, building up to 45 minute runs near the end of the third week.
In the weeks leading into the July 4 run, runners should be running up to 45-60 minutes three times per week.
The Todd Beamer Independence Day Run features a 10K (6.2 miles), a six-mile walk and a two-mile fun run/walk. Each race concludes at Sahalee Park in Madras.
Last year, 156 participants turned out.
