Man injured in Hayden Island shooting

UPDATE • Victim was a 36-year-old Vancouver man
Portland and Vancouver police are investigating a suspected Sunday morning gang-related shooting on Hayden Island.
According to Portland police, at 2:43 a.m. on Oct. 30, North Precinct officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 11900 block of North Center Avenue on the island. Before they arrived, the officers were told that someone had been shot and left the area in a red SUV.
After the officers arrived in the area, they located a crime scene and received information that a gunshot victim had arrived at the Southwest Washington Medical Center. The victim, 36-year-old Shaun Lynell Wilson of Vancouver, Wash., suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his leg.
The case was assigned to Portland and Vancouver police gang investigators. No suspect information was immediately available.
