SOUTH PORTLAND - Bellaterra, Lair Hill's newest bed and breakfast, will open its doors Nov. 6 to introduce itself to the neighborhood.

Bellaterra is a recently-restored 1893 Lair Hill home with five guest rooms. Inspired by Bellaterra's surrounding natural settings, each room is furnished with antiques, its own stone- or glass-tiled bath and a theme designed to spark the sense of being in a chosen place or time, according to owner Ellen.

The open house will be held from 1 to 6 p.m.
