Rohach named Employee of the Year
By John Bowler
Persistence, flexibility and hard work still pay off, as illustrated by retiring Crooked River Ranch Homeowners Association President Ted Cook, and his choice of Rick Rohach to receive CRR's first Employee of the Year award.
Rohach's supervisor, Ranch golf maintenance supervisor Richard Jensen, said that's how Rohach, one of Jensen's valuable department employees for the past three years, was picked for the award.
"Ted just said Rick was it and nobody argued with his choice," said Jensen. "Next year we will have a more formal process"
Rohach caught Cook's eye when he volunteered to train and work for several Ranch departments which were shorthanded and needed help, including the Ranch Road Maintenance Department. Rohach also studied to secure an applicator's license to apply weed control solutions to Ranch grounds.
"It was a team effort that allowed me to do that and I couldn't have done it by myself," said Rohach, adding, "I'm especially proud to be the Ranch's first Employee of the year."
Jensen agreed with Cook's choice and commented, "Rick is a valuable employee and I wholeheartedly endorse Ted's selection of him for this first award."
