Pioneer awarded for ads

Madras Pioneer ad department won two awards in the Oregon Newspaper Publishers Association's "Best Ad Ideas Contest," which were announced at the Sept. 22, AdCon conference.
The Pioneer garnered a first place award in the "Best Use of Media" category for its 2010 Sageland Magazine.
The ad department also won an honorable mention award in the "Best Black and White Ad" category for its CHS Garden Center ad in the Jefferson County Fair tab, which featured a girl holding a rabbit.
The Pioneer competed against all Oregon newspapers with circulations of 5,000 or less.
