Madras suffers first loss in boys soccer

Madras allowed two unanswered second-half goals Sept. 29 to host Estacada, spoiling a 2-1 halftime advantage during a Class 4A Tri-Valley Conference boys soccer game.
   The Rangers (5-1-0 TVC) handed Madras (5-1-1 overall, 2-1) its first loss of the season with a 3-2 victory.
   Derrick Pacheco and Oved Felix scored goals for Madras in the first half. The White Buffalos allowed a goal two minutes into the game, and the Rangers netted goals in the 47th and 50th minutes.
   MHS 5, Gladstone 1
   On Sept. 27, Madras improved to 2-0 in TVC play with a 6-1 victory over visiting Gladstone.
   The White Buffalos trailed 1-0 at intermission, but MHS posted five unanswered goals in the second half.
   Pacheco, David Madrigal, Carlos Garcia, Hosvaldo Diaz and Jhaylen Yeahquo all scored goals for MHS.
   The White Buffs visited Molalla after press deadline Tuesday and host North Marion at 4 p.m. Oct. 6.
