Zigzag District monthly events

WHAT: The Mount Hood National Forest and the Zigzag Ranger District present several interpretation and conservation programs for the public. Events in November include tours of Timberline Lodge; a 2.5-mile cross-town nature trail trip through Government Camp with a Forest Service ranger; a history program on the Civilian Conservation Corps in Zigzag; and 'Passport to the Forest,' a program for educators that focuses on botany, fisheries, wildlife and geology.

WHEN: Free Timberline Lodge tours are at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Fridays to Sundays. The other events must be booked in advance.
