Willstech LLC, which has operated in Bend for the past six years, has opened a store in Madras.
Owned by Robert Poviz, Willstech offers computer repair services five days a week and generally fixes all problems within 24 hours.
"We felt there was a need in Madras to offer computer solutions," Poviz said. "Business has been picking up and like any business, in time we hope to be really busy."
Located at 19 S.W. D St. in Madras, Willstech offers anti-virus installation, Windows updates and software updates, Windows clean-up and maintenance, software installation and program advising, virus, spyware and any other malicious software removal, router installations, laptop set-up to get wireless signal and much more.
"Most of what we offer out of the Madras store will be computer servicing," Poviz said. "People generally have problems with a virus or just need help setting up their computer."
Willstech also sells new and used computers, in addition to software and computer parts.
"As business picks up, we will add more inventory to the store," Poviz said.
Computer technicians are on hand from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
"We've been pretty stable with our Bend location, and we think we can do the same in Madras," Poviz said.
Poviz attended Central Oregon Community College for three years, prior to earning a bachelor's degree in networking at Oregon State University.
"I just love computers," Poviz said of why he opened a computer servicing business.
For more information, contact Willstech at 541-706-1895 or visit www.willstech1.com.
"We don't charge for diagnostics," Poviz said. "We charge by the hour or a flat rate for virus removal. It all depends on the issue, but we try to keep the prices down."
