Man sentenced for sex abuse of minor girls

A Warm Springs man, Ellery LeClaire, 22, was sentenced June 7 in the U.S. District Court in Portland to 18 months in prison for sexual abuse.
LeClaire had pleaded guilty March 19 to two counts of sexual abuse of a minor. The activity occurred on the Warm Springs Reservation, according to Assistant U.S. Attorney Craig Gabriel, who prosecuted the case.
Gabriel said that the incidents involved two different 14-year-old girls. The cases were all investigated by the Warm Springs Police Department and the Bend FBI office.
Following LeClaire's prison sentence, he must serve five years of supervised probation under terms of the sentence handed down by Judge Marco Hernandez in the U.S. District Court.
