oked River Ranch's annual Independence Celebration will be held on Saturday, July 7, and will feature many exciting events.
The Independence Celebration Parade, sponsored by the Crooked River Ranch-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce, will kick off at 10 a.m.
It will feature commercial, equestrian, and individual entries from all over the state of Oregon.
Following the parade, is the annual Lions Club Buffalo Feed, at MacPherson Park, which has been a Ranch tradition for over 30 years.
Beginning at 11 a.m. and ending at 2 p.m., the feed will feature buffalo burgers, hot dogs, beans and more. During the feed, there will be entertainment featuring the Prineville NJROTC Drill Team, the Sunshine Exchange Cloggers and the infamous "Dancin' Lions."
During the entire event, the Crooked River Ranch Artists and Crafters Guild will offer unique, handcrafted items for sale, and the Mariposa Lily Garden Club again will feature affordable plants for the garden and home.
OSU master gardeners from the club will hold a plant clinic during the sale.
The Lions Club Train pulls out of the station immediately following the parade and rides will be available to youngsters for 25 cents.
The Ranch Chapel will again provide a "jump tent" for children, and will sponsor a Quilt Show, beginning at 10 a.m.
New to the event this year is the first ever Independence Celebration "Business Fair," sponsored by the Crooked River Ranch-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce.
Businesses from all over Central Oregon will showcase their products and services to the hundreds of spectators attending the event.

The evening's activities will feature the third annual Lions Barn Dance, which will feature the band "Ruccas" playing country and rock 'n' roll. The entry fee is $7 per person and the dance begins at 6 p.m.
The Crooked River Ranch Independence Celebration is sponsored by the Crooked River Ranch Club and Maintenance Association, in conjunction with the Ranch's many service clubs and organizations.
