Rockhounds roll into fairgrounds June 27
Powwow lasts through July 1The 63rd Rock, Gem and Mineral Show will be offered by the All Rockhounds Pow Wow Club of America at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds from June 27 through July 1.
The show is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, with free admission, parking and entertainment.
Activities include a rock toss, door prizes, swap tables, an auction, nightly entertainment, camping at the fairgrounds, and concessions.
The annual powwow is a chance to view and buy supplies of rock carvings, clocks and motors, crystals, faceted gemstones, fossils, jewelry, minerals, rock equipment, rough and polished rock and much more.
Club members can participate in daily field trips to rock digging sites. Membership is $7.50 per person, or $15 per family.
