Monthly running clinic moves to MAC July 19
Madras Physical Therapy will host its monthly running clinic from 5:30-7 p.m. July 19 at the Madras Aquatic Center.
The clinic will focus on ideal running form, training techniques and injury prevention.
Zachary golf tourney to be held July 21
The fourth annual Bob and Matt Zachary Memorial Golf Tournament will be held July 21 at the Eagle Crest Resort Course.
The four-person scramble begins at 8:30 a.m. Registration begins at 7 a.m. Entry fee is $65 per person and includes lunch, cart, green fees and prizes.

Can drive to benefit Culver High volleyball
The Culver High School volleyball program is hosting a can drive at the Round Butte Shell Station in Culver.
Cans and plastic or glass bottles will be accepted for donation. A horse trailer will be parked near the station for collection.

Registration open for youth tackle football
Registration for the Bend Park and Recreation youth tackle football program is now available.
The program is open to youths entering the fourth through sixth grades.

MHS football accepting items for garage sale
The Madras High School football program is hosting a team garage sale July 27-28.
MAC Dash nearing, register online
The annual MAC Dash Sprint Triathlon will take place Sept. 8 and interested participants are encouraged to register online.
Featuring a 500-yard swim, a 12-mile road bike and a 3-mile run for both individuals and teams, the fifth annual MAC Dash entry fee is $45 for individual entrant or $35 for team entrant if received by Aug. 11.
There is no day-of-race registration.

Desert Peaks Club championhip Aug. 4-5
The Desert Peaks Golf Club Men's Association annual championship golf tournament will take place Aug. 4-5.
Players can play any time Aug. 4 to record their first round, and the final round will begin at 8 a.m. Aug. 5.
Six-time champion Brian Ringering won top honors last year. He fired a two-day score of 141 strokes to edge Francisco Morales (142).
