On of Madras' top salons has endured several changes.
Le' Chic Hair Design recently changed locations, moving from 116 S.E. Seventh St. to 156 S.W. Third St. in Madras.
"We had an opportunity to buy this building, and it made sense," said owner Kathleen Withrow. "It's a unique building, and so far we've really enjoyed the new location."
Le' Chic Hair Design offers a full line of salon services and also offers customers a quaint boutique.
"We have a lot of unique items for sale in the boutique," said salon coordinator Cindi Avila.
Le' Chic Hair Design also added a new stylist -- 21-year-old Sarah Dominiak.
"I love this line of work because there is nothing better than helping a girl look beautiful and to see that smile," said Dominiak, who attended beauty school at the Gene Juarez Academy in Seattle, Wash.
Dominiak moved from Olympia, Wash., to be closer to her mother, Diane, who is the assistant principal at Jefferson County Middle School, and her father, Joe, who is a coach for the Bend Elks baseball team.
"Kathleen has just been amazing to me and Le' Chic is the perfect fit," Dominiak said. "I'm excited for this opportunity."
