ing the month of August, Miller Ford will donate $50 to CAN Cancer from every vehicle sold.
"We are excited for any opportunity to raise funds for CAN Cancer and appreciate that Miller Ford Madras has picked our organization to support in August," said Mike Holcomb, project manager at Madras Sanitary Service.
Last year, the organization provided over $38,000 to patients in need, more than twice what we gave out the previous year.
"Thanks to CAN Cancer, we've never had to turn anyone away," said Kattaryna Stiles, community outreach coordinator for St. Charles Cancer Center.
CAN Cancer offers financial assistance to help cover nonmedical living expenses for Central Oregonians fighting all forms of cancer. Funds raised for CAN Cancer have helped local families with their utilities, hotel stays, gas cards, rent assistance, and grocery cards. Of the money donated, 100 percent will be put into a fund with the St. Charles Foundation, so that all funds raised will be used directly to benefit local residents.
Over $80,000 has been raised to date for CAN Cancer, assisting over 300 patients throughout Central Oregon.
