Can drive to benefit Culver High volleyball
The Culver High School volleyball program is hosting a can drive at the Round Butte Shell Station in Culver.
Cans and plastic or glass bottles will be accepted for donation. A horse trailer will be parked near the station for collection.

Redneck 5K Obstacle Course Aug. 18 in Culver
A Redneck 5K Obstacle Course will be held at 10 a.m. Aug. 18 in Culver.
The event serves as a fundraiser for all Culver school district activities, and is in conjunction with the Culver Crawdad Festival.

Registration open for youth tackle football
Registration for the Bend Park and Recreation youth tackle football program is now available.
The program is open to youths entering the fourth through sixth grades.

MAC Dash nearing, register online
The annual MAC Dash Sprint Triathlon will take place Sept. 8 and interested participants are encouraged to register online.
Featuring a 500-yard swim, a 12-mile road bike and a three-mile run for both individuals and teams, the fifth annual MAC Dash entry fee is $45 for individual entrants or $35 for team entrants if received by Aug. 11.
There is no day-of-race registration.

Mtn. View Golf Classic to be held Sept. 14
The 10th Annual Mountain View Foundation Golf Classic will be held Sept. 14 at the Eagle Crest Resort Course.
Entry fee is $500 per team or $150 per person, and includes green fees, cart, lunch and prizes for long drive, closest to the pin and long putt.

CHS alumni to play CCHS alumni in football Aug. 7
Culver High School and Crook County High School alumni will battle it out for bragging rights at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 11, in Prineville, during a fundraising football game.

MHS volleyball hosting event at Abby's Pizza
The Madras High School volleyball program will host a fundraising event at Abby's Legendary Pizza from 5-9 p.m. Aug. 14.
Abby's will donate 20 percent of all proceeds from dine-in orders to the spiker program.
MHS players and staff will be at Abby's to meet and visit with those interested in attending.
Madras football to host youth football camp
The Madras High School football program will host a youth camp Aug. 6-9 at 6 p.m. each day.
The camp is open to participants entering the fourth through the eighth grade at a cost of $20 per player. The entry fee includes a T-shirt, which will be the same one worn by MHS varsity players this season.
Registration begins at 5 p.m. each day, and players will be accepted to participate throughout the week.
