Refiner's Fire concert helps raise roof

   On Sunday evening, Aug. 12, at 6 p.m., the Christian music ministry of Craig Harris and Refiner's Fire will be presenting a concert at the Madras United Methodist Church with jazz, gospel, contemporary and traditional music all with a message of inspiration.
   Harris has been a professional musician for over 35 years and a pastor for 30. He plays several instruments and composes all songs and arrangements for the group.
   He has performed on stage with the Legendary Stamps Quartet as a guest soloist, and accompanied many other groups, on piano, guitar and with his trombone and trumpet.
   Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door or online at www.sirrahgroup.org. You can also hear Refiner's Fire music on the website. Fifty percent of the concert proceeds are going directly toward a fundraiser to repair the roof at the Madras United Methodist Church.
   The Madras United Methodist Church is located at 49 N.E. 12th St.
   Refiner's Fire is touring the Western United States this year, giving half of their ticket sale revenues to various ministries and service organizations.
   They have performed from Caldwell, Idaho, to the Oregon-Washington Coast, and down into California and Nevada.
   They are a part of Shoreline Ministries which exists to give assistance to organizations that are meeting the needs of their community.
