Free fair brings out crowds for events

With free admission, overall Jefferson County Fair attendance was understandably up this year, according to fairgrounds manager Sandy Forman.
"The rodeo went very well. There was standing room only Saturday night, and it was almost filled Friday night," Forman said, noting the arena holds 900 people.
Favorite attractions included the Kids Peddle Tractor Pull, livestock shows, the carnival and the Fair Talent Show.
"There was something for everyone," Forman said, adding, "Quite a few families came up and told me they came back multiple times because of the free admission."
