Agencies make drug arrest
JCSO, WSPD investigate manufacture, delivery of meth
After a joint investigation that lasted several months, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office and the Warm Springs Police Department arrested Juan Miguel Lopez, 28, of Madras, on Monday on drug charges.
According to Detective Jake Fowler, of the JCSO, the two agencies executed a search warrant at Trailside Apartments No. 27 in Madras on Aug. 6.
JCSO and WSPD had been cooperating on an investigation into the unlawful delivery, manufacture and possession of methamphetamine in the area.
Seized as evidence during the search of Lopez's residence was approximately 7.6 ounces of methamphetamine, two firearms, over $700 in cash and 16 marijuana plants.
Lopez was arrested, booked and lodged in the Jefferson County Correctional Facility on charges of unlawful possession, manufacturing and delivery of methamphetamine.
