Screen on the Green slated Sept. 7

Don't miss the annual free Screen on the Green outdoor movie night, which will be held at 8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 7, in Sahalee Park, featuring the family movie "How to Train Your Dragon" (PG).
   The Jefferson County Library Film Center is beginning its 10th film series season with the Screen on the Green.
   Preshow entertainment will include the Jefferson County Library Band, and juggler Michael McGinnis.
   Madison Coffee House will be the food vendor for the evening, and everyone should bring their own blankets and chairs to relax in while enjoying the show.
   The free film series continues on Friday nights at the Rodriguez Annex, 134 S.E. E St., Madras, with refreshments available.
   Friday, Sept. 14, 7:30 p.m., "Hugo" (PG-13). In this movie, Hugo is a wily and resourceful boy secretly living in a large train station. His quest to unlock a secret left to him by his father will transform him and all those around him, and reveal a safe and loving place he can call home.
   Friday, Sept. 21, 7:30 p.m., "Extremely Loud, Incredibly Close" (PG-13) A year after his father died in the World Trade Center, 11-year-old New Yorker Oskar Schell, discovers a key in his deceased father's belongings, which sets him off on an urgent search across the city for the lock it will open. The movie stars Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock.
