Oregon Department of Transportation will be nearing completion of two U.S. Highway 26 projects this week -- one on the Warm Springs Reservation and a second east of Madras.
The projects are part of ODOT's continued investment in Oregon's future with roadway improvement projects throughout Oregon's central region (ODOT Region 4).
On U.S. 26, from the intersection with U.S. Highway 97, south of Madras, to milepost 7.20, Knife River Northwest is finishing a full-width asphalt overlay and striping this week.
Traffic may be reduced to one lane and controlled by flaggers and pilot cars through the work zone. Delays will be under 20 minutes.
Oregon Mainline Paving has completed paving a project on U.S. Highway 26, from the Mount Hood junction to the Wapinitia junction, milepost 57.30 to 70.69.
Through Sept. 2, the contractor will continue to place reflective markers, install new signs, as well as complete punch list items. There will be single-lane closures controlled by flaggers and pilot cars from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. each day.
Delays will be under 20 minutes. All work is dependent upon weather.
