Madras football implementing 12th Man, Wall of Fame

Madras High School head coach Rick Wells wants to honor past members of the football program.
Wells is creating a 12th Man of The Week and a Wall of Fame, as a way to recognize those that have played football and graduated from MHS.
"I care about the history of the program and I want other to do the same," Wells said. "We're trying to create a consistent tradition to not only recognize current players, but those in the past as well."
The 12th Man of the Week will carry the 12th Man Nation Flag and lead the team onto the field prior to home games. The 12th Man will also receive a field pass, be included in pregame, halftime and postgame locker room conversations and receive a team T-shirt.
"We want people to be enthusiastic about our home games," Wells said. "This will be the ultimate fan experience."
To be legible for the 12th Man, you must be an MHS alumni varsity letter winner.
Wells is also creating a Wall of Fame to honor MHS players of the past.
"With the new football stadium coming, we want to start collecting nominations," Wells said.
The Wall of Fame will include a picture and short bio about the respective player to be hung on the wall.
"We need past players and family members to submit a photo and list of accomplishments from any year in the past to nominate a player," Wells said.
Those wanting to submit Wall of Fame nominations or those interested in being the 12th Man of The Week should email Wells at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
