Burgers and Politics

   On Saturday, Sept. 8, the Crooked River Ranch Republicans invite everyone to attend a Burgers and Politics event featuring many Republican candidates, state, regional and local, who will share their viewpoints and answer questions.
   The gathering will be held at MacPherson Park at Crooked River Ranch, from noon to 4 p.m.
   The following candidates will attend: Fred Thompson, U.S. Congress, District 5; Knute Buhler, secretary of state; James Buchal, state attorney general; Tom Cox, state treasurer; Bruce Starr, commissioner of labor and industry; Tim Knopp, state senate, District 27; Rep. Gene Whisnant, State House District 53; Rep. John Huffman, State House District 59; Rep. Jason Conger, State House District 54; and Rep. Mike McLane, State House District 55.
   Also, Tom Green, Deschutes County commissioner; Deena Goss, Jefferson County treasurer; and George Endicott, Redmond Mayor.
   There will be burgers and fixin's beginning at noon, along with live music, a beer and wine garden presented by the Big Dog, a 50-50 raffle, and "Never Forget -- A 911 Remembrance."
