MHS volleyball carwash set for Aug. 25
   The Madras High School volleyball program will host a carwash from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 25 in the Les Schwab parking lot.
   All funds raised go directly to the program.
   Registration open for youth tackle football
   Registration for the Bend Park and Recreation youth tackle football program is now available.

   MAC Dash nearing, register online
   The annual MAC Dash Sprint Triathlon will take place Sept. 8 and interested participants are encouraged to register online.
   Featuring a 500-yard swim, a 12-mile bike ride and a three-mile run for both individuals and teams, the fifth annual MAC Dash entry fee is $45 for individual entrants or $35 for team entrants if received by Aug. 11.

   Mtn. View Golf Classic to be held Sept. 14
   Mountain View Hospital Foundation will host the 10th Annual Golf Classic on Sept. 14 at Eagle Crest Resort in Redmond.
   The four-person scramble will begin on Friday, Sept. 14, with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Awards ceremony, lunch and live entertainment from Tri£r Amad n will conclude the day's events.
   Entry fees are $150 per person or $500 for a four-man team. Entry fees include green fees, range balls, cart, breakfast, lunch and evening entertainment. Sponsorship opportunities including hole sponsorships are also available.

   White Buffalo Open to be played Sept. 16
   The annual White Buffalo Open -- a four-person golf scramble -- will take place at 1 p.m. Sept. 16, at Kah-Nee-Ta Resort and Golf Course.
   The event serves as a fundraiser for the Madras High School football program.
   The event will also feature a barbecue dinner, a silent auction and raffle prizes. Prizes will also be awarded for long drive and closest to the pin. Entry fee is $50 per player. Entry forms are available at Kah-Nee-Ta, the Madras Pioneer and online at www.madrasathletics.org.

   Sports meeting for JCMS parents Sept. 5
   An informational sports meeting for parents will be held at 4 p.m. Sept. 5 at the Jefferson County Middle School commons.
