Reeder-Hodell wed in Kauai
Steve Reeder and Emily Hodell, of Medford, were united in marriage on March 30, in Lawai, Kauai, in an intimate ceremony with family and friends, which was officiated by Kevin Ho of Kauai.
The bride is the daughter of Doug and Sue Hodell of Davis and Sacramento, Calif., and the groom is the son of Don and Cindy Reeder, of Madras.
The outdoor wedding site on Poipu Beach was decorated with white orchid petals in the isle, and faced the ocean and gentle waves on a gorgeous tropical day. All guests were presented with pink and white leis to wear during the traditional Hawaiian ceremony.
The bride wore a ruched strapless gown, rhinestone sandals and a white orchid in her hair. She also carried a bouquet of white orchids and wore a white and yellow lei.
Photography was by Sealight Studios and reception dinner was held onsite and provided by Contemporary Flavors Catering. The couple later had a reception for family and friends at Mount Tabor Park in Portland, honeymooned in Puerto Rico, and returned to make their home in Medford.
The bride is a 1998 graduate of Davis High School, 2002 graduate of Willamette University, 2005 graduate of Wake Forest University and 2010 Ph.D. graduate of University of Kentucky. She is currently employed at Rogue Regional Medical Center as a data specialist.
The groom is a 1999 graduate of Madras High School, 2003 and 2009 graduate of University of Oregon, and 2011 graduate from OHSU. He currently works at Southern Oregon Orthopedics as a physician assistant. The couple met while living in Portland.
