Classes on canning, freezing veggies

Oregon State University Open Campus will offer a class on freezing and canning vegetables from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 15.
   The fee to attend is $29 and an additional $15 for a supply fee. To register, visit https://secure.oregonstate.edu/osuext/register/455.
   Participants will learn what vegetables work best for freezing and canning, and the correct way to go about both processes.
   The class will be held at the OSU extension kitchen located at 281 S.W. Third Street, Suite A.
   This is the first of several OSU Open Campus classes that will be available this fall. Eat Right for Life will take place Oct. 15, 22 and 29. Cultural Cooking will take place Oct. 18 and Nov. 10. Core Credit Pesticide Exam Training will take place Dec. 7.
