Free sports physicals will be offered from 5-7 p.m. Sept. 12, at the Madras Methodist Church for any Jefferson County high school or middle school athlete.
Male student athletes need to be dressed in shorts and T-shirts, while female student athletes need to be dressed in a sports bra, shorts and a T-shirt for sports physicals. Student athletes must also have a parent signature on their sports physical form to be presented at the time of the physical.
Registration open for youth tackle football
Registration for the Bend Park and Recreation youth tackle football program is now available.

Mtn. View Golf Classic to be held Sept. 14
Mountain View Hospital Foundation will host the 10th Annual Golf Classic on Sept. 14 at Eagle Crest Resort in Redmond.
The four-person scramble will begin on Friday, Sept. 14, with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
Entry fees are $150 per person or $500 for a four-man team. Entry fees include green fees, range balls, cart, breakfast, lunch and evening entertainment. Sponsorship opportunities including hole sponsorships are also available.

White Buffalo Open to be played Sept. 16
The annual White Buffalo Open -- a four-person golf scramble -- will take place at 1 p.m. Sept. 16, at Kah-Nee-Ta Resort and Golf Course.
The event serves as a fundraiser for the Madras High School football program.
The event will also feature a barbecue dinner, a silent auction and raffle prizes. Prizes will also be awarded for long drive and closest to the pin. Entry fee is $50 per player. Entry forms are available at Kah-Nee-Ta, the Madras Pioneer and online at www.madrasathletics.org.

An informational sports meeting for parents will be held at 4 p.m. Sept. 5, at the Jefferson County Middle School commons.
