Ellsbury hit with late-season injuries

Major Leage Baseball
Boston Red Sox centerfielder and Madras native Jacoby Ellsbury hasn't played in a game since Thursday due to a "little situation" as his manager, Bobby Valentine, calls it.
A report from MLB.com said Ellsbury's issue is believed to be a nagging injury the all-star outfielder has been dealing with, and the organization isn't going to risk further injury.
The report also said the earliest people could expect the Red Sox to re-insert Ellsbury into the lineup was Tuesday, but even that may be a little too early, and there really is no reason to rush it since the Sox aren't in a playoff race this September.
His past four games have been very productive, however. He went 7 for 15 with six RBIs. He is hitting .277 in 70 games this season with four home runs and 26 RBIs.
