Sisters wedding unites Oliver-Mangan

y Oliver and Hilary Mangan, both of Bend, were united in marriage on July 28, in a ceremony at Shepherdsfield wedding center in Sisters.
The bride is the daughter of Joe and Marilyn Mangan of Bend, and the groom is the son of Pam Watson of Madras, and Jim Oliver of Spokane, Wash.
The wedding site was decorated with an array of burnt orange flowers, arranged by Pat Watson, grandmother of the groom, with the assistance of Ronda Pierson, aunt of the groom. The bride wore a strapless silk vintage wedding gown and carried a bouquet of small ivory roses wrapped with cream and brown ribbon and attached with pearls. The bouquet was also made by her grandmother and aunt.
Cam Rosenfield, cousin of the groom, played guitar music for the ceremony.
The witnesses were Ron Oliver, brother of the groom, and Andrew Mangan, brother of the bride.
A dinner and dance reception at Shepherdsfield followed the wedding.
The bride and groom plan on taking a honeymoon in Spain this winter, and have made their home in Bend.
The bride is a 1995 graduate of Mountain View High School, a 1998 graduate of the University of Oregon, where she studied psychology, and a 2008 graduate of Mount Hood Community College, where she studied nursing. She works as an operating room nurse at St. Charles in Bend.
The groom is a 2003 graduate of Madras High School, and he attended Oregon State University, where he studied chemistry and biology. He works as an operator at Bend Research.
